However, many of us do not see the toils and hardships a mother has to go through, both physically and emotionally.
Childbirth and hormonal changes can cause several conditions harmful to a woman’s quality of life, such as stress urinary incontinence, loss of lubrication, vaginal laxity, and so much more. As we think of the vaginal rejuvenation process, the appearance of the labia is the first thing that comes to mind. It is true – childbirth can be very harsh on a woman’s labia minora.
For a few years now, with the help of social media, non-surgical labiaplasty has been met with a rise in popularity. While, until recent years, surgical vaginal rejuvenation was the prominent approach to enhanced vaginal health, today’s rhythm of life has switched women’s attention towards less-invasive procedures, with faster results and minimal downtime.
Following this trend, our goal for today is to shed some light on two non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatments renowned on the plastic surgery market for their efficiency and superior results: AVIVA FEMtite and FORMA V!
The FEMtite treatment harnesses the benefits brought by the AVIVA FEMtite device to dramatically shrink and reduce vulvar tissue, such as the labia and the clitoral hood. This technologically-superior device uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the vaginal tissue, improving several postpartum issues, such as enlarged labia minora and vaginal laxity.
Once the plastic surgeon makes a small incision into the dermal tissue, a small-scale probe is introduced, which delivers radiofrequency energy in a temperature-controlled fashion, stimulating collagen and elastin production, as well as shrinking and tightening the tissue. For further tightening, the plastic surgeon can combine this procedure with Morpheus8, a radiofrequency microneedling procedure.

However, to avoid any unwanted complications, Dr. Vinyard will encourage you to refrain from certain activities, such as sexual intercourse and heavy lifting.

FORMA V was a long-expected addition to the non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation field, following in the footsteps of radiofrequency-based devices. During the treatment, appropriate heat levels are applied to the interior vaginal canal and the external labia, acting as a stimulus to the vaginal tissue and the collagen and elastin production in this area. This inturn increases the support of the pelvic floor which has been associated with improvement in mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence some women experience after childbirth. In addition, the heat stimulates increased blood supply to the vaginal canal through a process of angiogenesis. The increased blood supply helps improve most women’s dryness issues by providing increased lubrication.
The treatment usually lasts approximately 35 minutes. As the heat is being delivered, the device monitors and controls heat levels, preventing any unwanted tissue burns. Patients generally do not experience much discomfort during the treatment.
Before moving forward with the procedure, Dr. Vinyard’s principal concern is to find out if you are an ideal candidate for FORMA V or not. If you are experiencing the side effects of childbirth, especially vaginal laxity, loss of sexual sensation, or Stress Urinary Incontinence, the FORMA V is a great option!
