Refyne, Defyne, Silk, and Lyft Injectable Wrinkle Fillers – Port Saint Lucie, FL

Refine the look of your facial features with an injectable filler like Restylane Refyne, Defyne, Silk, or Lyft. Rediscover your look with Restylane.

What is Restylane®?

Port Saint Lucie, FL board-certified cosmetic plastic surgeon Dr. William Vinyard offers a wide range of filler treatments to help men and women correct the signs of aging within the face by addressing lost volume, lines, and wrinkles. It is one of the most popular brands of dermal filler injections in aesthetics today with the unique variations of the Restylane formula for results that are long-lasting. Restylane is made with a synthetic version of the body’s natural hyaluronic acid (HA), giving the skin a natural, softer look that is more supple and full. Dr. Vinyard will design a treatment plan to address your mild-to-severe facial lines and wrinkles, as well as add volume to the lips and mid-face. This treatment is available for men and women who qualify and are over the age of 21. At the Vinyard Institute of Plastic Surgery, we carry only physician-dispensed injectables that require a prescription. VIPS carries several variations of the Restylane formula, including:

  • Restylane: Fills in facial wrinkles and folds
  • Restylane Defyne: Corrects moderate to deep smile and laugh lines
  • Restylane Lyft: Adds volume and lift in the cheeks
  • Restylane Refyne: Fills in fine to moderate smile and laugh lines
  • Restylane Silk: Builds volume in the lips and smoothes vertical lip lines

Find out more about what nonsurgical treatments can rejuvenate your facial features at a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Vinyard in our office at VIPS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a candidate?

Restylane injectable treatments are great for any woman or man over the age of 21 looking to rejuvenate their appearance with more volume to their facial features. Since Restylane has multiple formulas, your treatment will be customized to suit your concerns and goals in correcting the visible signs of aging, including fine lines on your face, lips, and cheeks. It can also treat moderate or severe wrinkles, like laugh lines, frown lines, Crow’s feet, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and more. Some formulas are mixed with lidocaine, an anesthetic, so you should disclose any known allergies during your consultation with Dr. Vinyard to avoid a reaction.

What's the technique?

Restylane dermal injections take place inside one of our cozy treatment rooms at VIPS. We will start the appointment by cleansing your face. A numbing cream can be applied in the area of your treatment for increased comfort if you prefer. Restylane is injected into your skin through a very fine needle, and gently massaged so it fills the needed areas. Multiple injections will be needed and followed with the placement a cold, gentle compress to decrease swelling. Each Restylane formula is administered with a similar technique but can be placed in different areas of the face to fit your specific needs and goals.

To maximize your results for facial rejuvenation utilizing a nonsurgical approach, you may also benefit from BOTOX. This is a wrinkle relaxer most commonly used to address wrinkles that occur in the upper part of the face such as the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the Crow’s feet. The combination of an Injectable filler and BOTOX is known to many as the “liquid facelift.”

What can I expect?

When your Restylane procedure has concluded, you can return to your day as expected. Your recovery timeframe will depend on what is being treated, so talk to Dr. Vinyard about what to expect. The injection sites will appear slightly red and swollen, but this often goes away after several hours. Bruising can appear, but this can usually be concealed with makeup. It is recommended that you avoid strenuous activities like exercise for 1 – 2 days, and you should sleep upright for at least the first night. Most patients will experience some improvements immediately after the injections, but it often takes 1 – 2 weeks before the final results appear. Restylane injection treatments generally last about a year depending on the exact product used, your metabolism, and when you start to see the medication wear off.

What does this cost?

Injectable fillers are a great way to turn back the hands of time without spending a fortune. During the consultation, we will assess your skin and address the areas of concern by determining how many units of Restylane are needed to attain the right result. Because each treatment plan is customized for the patient, the number of units will vary by case. The total cost will be determined based on how many areas we are treating and the volume of the filler injected. Fillers are a fraction of the cost of a surgical procedure, which is why so many patients turn to nonsurgical skin rejuvenation first before considering cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Vinyard also extends special packages to his filler patients with the addition of a wrinkle relaxer (like BOTOX) treatment, which will be added savings for you. If you are interested in adding a relaxer and saving money, please ask about specials at your consultation appointment.

What is Restylane most commonly used for in treatment?

While Restylane is a great filler for lines and wrinkles on the face, it is one of the more popular fillers used in our practice to add volume to the lips so they look fuller. Lip augmentation results using Restylane typically last up to six months and for some patients, the results can last even longer. Patients must be 21 years of age to receive a Restylane injection.

How often do I need to come back for a touch-up?

On average, an injection using a filler such as Restylane can last between six months to a year. This varies by patient. To maintain the results, most patients return on an average between 6 – 9 months for a follow-up injection, which is a safe time frame to receive more filler. Our office can set you up on a treatment schedule and regime so that the results remain optimal throughout the weeks and months following each session.

Does it hurt?

Patients may feel some minor discomfort when receiving an injection using a filler product. Prior to the treatment, we will use a numbing ointment to help decrease any discomfort that one may feel as the injections are taking place. We also use a gentle cold compression to help with swelling and bruising.

Will I look fake?

Injectable fillers, when performed by a trained and skilled injector, offer gorgeous outcomes for patients. The goal is to achieve a result that looks soft and natural. Restylane adds volume to areas that are depleted, fills in lines and diminishes wrinkles, and creates subtle enhancements that make a significant improvement to how our patients look and feel. We pride ourselves on offering expert injections that can take years off a patient’s face and add a desirable natural glow.

Chin Implants vs. Dermal Fillers: Why We Prefer Dermal Fillers at VIPS!

Are you considering chin enhancement surgery? You’re not alone. Chin augmentation procedures, also known as genioplasty, have been on the rise in recent years. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons estimates that over 40,000 chin augmentation surgeries were performed in 2020. If you’re considering this procedure, you’re probably wondering whether a chin implant or a dermal filler procedure is the right choice for you.
