Why Should You Choose BOTOX?

#1: Reduce Unwanted Wrinkles
Tired of looking in the mirror and seeing angry, frustrated, tired, or sad expressions because of deep lines and wrinkles? BOTOX the wrinkles away for softer, younger, and smoother looking skin!

#2: Prevent Future Wrinkles
If you’re in your 30’s or 40’s, starting some minimal BOTOX injections can help to ease the wrinkles that inevitably come with time. Prevent new wrinkles from forming right now, rather than trying to address them down the road.

#3. Boost Your Confidence
The most important benefit of BOTOX is the confidence increase that comes from looking your best and knowing that when you walk out the door each morning, your coworkers, family, and friends will see the best version of you!
You're Probably A Candidate!
If you have wrinkles, BOTOX is probably an option for you! BOTOX is specifically for individuals who desire to diminish and soften the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, lines, and moderate folds on their face in a nonsurgical way. It is an effective nonsurgical solution if you have obvious forehead lines, crow’s feet, or frown lines between the brows.
BOTOX is also often thought of as a preventive treatment even if static wrinkles have not yet formed.
Understand The Science Behind Botox
BOTOX is a purified strain of botulinum toxin (type A) that temporarily blocks the movements of the underlying tissue and muscle. To diminish the appearance of these dynamic lines and wrinkles, BOTOX is injected to relax and soften the skin. This specific injection is most commonly placed by Dr. Vinyard between the brows where the number “11” appears, on the Crow’s feet, and throughout the forehead.
We recommend you treat the areas of concern with BOTOX every 3 – 4 months. This will help you to maintain that overall smoother appearance. As you continue to do this, the muscles will atrophy (get smaller) and may even require less BOTOX or less frequent treatments to maintain the result.
What Happens During The Botox Treatment?
BOTOX injections are performed as an outpatient procedure right here at VIPS. If it is your first time to visit us in Port St. Lucie, FL, we commonly perform the injection within the same appointment as your consultation with Dr. Vinyard. You will be asked to make a few facial expressions using the upper face, such as squinting, frowning, etc., which will allow us to determine where the injections are best placed.
Your skin will be cleansed and BOTOX will be injected under the skin using a fine needle, followed by a cold compress to help reduce bruising, swelling, and discomfort. You can request a numbing cream to make the procedure more comfortable, but it generally is not needed. BOTOX injections typically take about 10 – 15 minutes, after which you can get back to your normal day with zero recovery period!

After The Botox Procedure
After the BOTOX injection, you are allowed to return to your usual schedule, but strenuous activities like exercise should be postponed for at least a day. You will be asked to sleep with your head propped up for the first night and to not touch your face, which may accidentally spread the treatment to other areas. The treated areas of the face may become red, bruised, or swollen for a couple of days, but you should not have any lasting or serious side effects. In the majority of cases, it often takes about 10-14 days before the full effects of BOTOX become visible. The results typically last around 3 – 4 months, so plan to set up a follow-up appointment before you leave.
Will You Be Able To Smile?
Of course! With BOTOX, you don’t have to display emotions you are not feeling just because your wrinkles are prominent. You can frown, smile, laugh, and make any expression you want without seeing wrinkles and lines thanks to BOTOX injections.
Still Have Questions? Here Are Some Of The Most Common!
The total cost for BOTOX injections will depend on how much product is used. This will vary based on your needs and goals. During your consultation, Dr. Vinyard will form your personal treatment plan before he can estimate your costs. BOTOX can produce impressive results when performed by a skilled plastic surgeon like Dr. Vinyard, but it can be unsafe if done by someone without training, which is why it’s better to avoid places offering cheap or knock-off injections. To save money, ask about the Brilliant Distinctions Rewards Program so you can start earning points for BOTOX and other Allergan products, like Juvéderm.
Improvements from BOTOX can last up to four months. Most patients schedule a visit every season to sustain their results, but you may come back sooner. If you are getting BOTOX while you are younger as a preventive treatment, you may be able to schedule visits further apart. After listening to your goals and forming your treatment plan, Dr. Vinyard will be able to estimate when you should schedule your next appointment.
Wrinkle relaxers (like BOTOX) and wrinkle fillers (like Juvéderm and Restylane) are both treatments that improve the appearance of wrinkles and smooth fine lines. BOTOX relaxes overused facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, like frown lines (between the eyebrows), Crow’s feet (in the outer corner’s of the eyes), forehead wrinkles, and smile lines. Dermal fillers add volume under the skin to correct hollow areas and decrease fine lines throughout your face. Based on your goals, Dr. Vinyard may recommend BOTOX, fillers, or a combination of both for a liquid “facelift.”
BOTOX, Dysport, and Xeomin are various brands of injectable wrinkle relaxers that are created with botulinum toxin (type A). They all can relax facial muscles to improve wrinkles, but each formula is slightly different to suit specific areas of your face and your aesthetic needs. There are subtle distinctions between them including the amount the botulinum toxin (type A) within each dose, treatment spread, and length of time to see results. Dr. Vinyard will choose the most desirable medication to achieve your goals.
When applied properly, BOTOX rarely causes any complications. With that said, it is important to choose someone who has experience and training in handling this injectable, like Dr. Vinyard. Overinjecting BOTOX can give you an undesirable outcome. A skilled injector will use just enough of the medication to effectively suspend the muscles from moving that cause wrinkles while leaving nearby muscles unaffected. One of the most popular cosmetic treatments on the market today, BOTOX is safe and approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In addition to cosmetic uses, BOTOX is also used to treat medical issues including facial spasms, excessive sweating, uncontrollable blinking, and migraines.
